Introducing Twine

Twinery.org

This is a hypertext I collaboratively created with IUP students several years ago. Here is a Twine that's not literary, more of a tutorial with a slight game element to it. If you master Twine basics and want to challenge yourself, here is a simplistic game demo using variables. Here are some Twines created by public school students two years ago.

Adam Hammond

Hammond's Total Beginners Guide to Twine

Author of Literature in the Digital Age, Hammond teachers undergraduates Twine and has created very good video tutorials.

Twine Tips

  1. Most HTML and CSS will also work in Twine. So anything you learned for your website (like how to customize a font) can be transferred to your Twine work.
  2. Give your Twine a unique name. (Don't just call it story; this will be confusing when you go to upload).
  3. Be aware of which story format you are using AND that you are using version 2.1

PM-3
